Mommy Goes to Yoga, by Paul Harsch, is a fun and basic introduction to both yoga and a parent's life outside the home. We follow "Mommy" as she leaves the house to go to yoga. Once in the yoga studio we get a sense of what a yoga class is like and how it helps both the physical and mental health of its participants. The story also gives children a positive look at part of a parent's life away. The benefits of yoga come full circle as Mommy arrives home and shares her peaceful energy and some poses with her child who has eagerly awaited her return.

Kids will love the fun and basic yoga poses shown throughout, in addition to a full page of animal poses at the end of the book for young ones to practice.

Paul Harsch is stay at home dad. He is married and has two children who he enjoys teaching about life and nature. Like most parents, Paul struggles at times to keep everything together. Just like Mommy in this book, he enjoys the peace that comes from practicing yoga. Paul lives with his family in an old growth forest outside Morgantown, West Virginia.
