Nate Crew is a US Army Special Forces veteran living in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His daytime work includes planting an orchard in Wagram, NC, among other ventures.

Originally published here, Nate's first twenty poems were all written in March of 2021.




This collection also features the original work of Nate's friend and collaborator Azevedo Mafra, a university language professor and lifelong poet published here for the first time. In quieter and more ethereal tones, Mafra's verses emerge out of his own unique "valley of death" and perspective on life and reality.
