You can be sure that if God gives you a promise, it will happen. You just have to trust Him during the waiting time. In every situation the Lord knows when things need to occur. WHEN, GOD?should be an ongoing prayer, and when the Lord gives you the answer, rest in that answer, whatever it is, and know that the Lord always knows best.
