A Hike with Ike Kriste Sveen

Ike the Border Collie takes us on a hike through beautiful Colorado, exploring God's creation, where we can learn what God is like. Some of the big issues in parenting today are identity, materialism, anxiety, stress and busyness, and focus. Worship can be the antidote for all of the above, because it replaces the child who thinks they are the center of the universe, with God who is the center of our universe. So many of today's children and adults struggle with identity. Who am I? By focusing on who God is and wondering about what He created, we learn who we are in God's eyes, how beloved we are and what it means to be God's child. God first speaks to us through the voice of nature which speaks to our hearts. The natural world around us points to a Creator with an imagination beyond our own. The Bible and creation give us reassuring answers to those big questions of life by describing a Creator who made us and loves us so much that He wanted to make a world for our enjoyment and pleasure. If we let it, His creation also tells us about Himself.
