Queen of Assyria is a suspenseful 100,000-word fictional account surrounding the blessings and misfortunes of a young noblewoman, Lady Sammuramat, as she navigates the problems surrounding her family's line of succession-a line of succession marred by a crown prince's unexpected war declaration.

However, Lady Sammuramat's problems do not end there. As a noblewoman who joined the royal family through an engagement, she yearns to make a name for herself. She accompanies the feared Assyrian army on campaigns throughout the earth's Four Corners, learning basic battle strategies and what makes the world's greatest empire maintain strength in the face of prideful nations and bitter rivalries. Sammuramat's beloved country employs all possible tactics to survive, including fearsome and awe-inspiring artwork for psychological manipulation, poison-tipped arrows, and mandatory annual tributes. Sammuramat quickly realizes Assyria is unpopular among its competitors. However, she remembers the stories of old when Assyria was a small, weak farming community and nearly destroyed. She develops her own opinion of the country, noticing the flaws but finding purpose in her dreams of a continued future for the nation.

The only issue is others do not share the same vision. Sammuramat is appalled but hardly surprised when the crown prince sends a war declaration to his own father, the aged King Shalmaneser. The problem only escalates when the crown prince acquires the assistance of Assyria's foe, Babylon. Sammuramat's worst fears materialize when the King passes away, forcing her and the allied portion of the country to take up arms and engage in an uncertain civil war.
