INVENTORS WHO LOOK LIKE ME is a children's book about a little girl named Saniya and a little boy named Shawn, who travels back in time to learn about 11 inventors of color. Whether it was creating an initial invention or improving an invention, kids can learn about the men and women of color responsible for the inventions that contribute to our everyday lives. It demonstrates how these inventors broke barriers of racism, oppression, and repression.
