Sunday's Sandcastle is a story about a young girl, Rosie, and her little dog Rascal.

Their usual Sunday afternoon of building sandcastles on the beach at Balboa Island unfolds into quite an adventure! Rosie and Rascal meet a California Gull, Brown Pelicans and one of the largest birds in North America, the American Pelican with a wing span of up to ten feet! They are led around the local land and water forms so unique to this area by an engaging cast of coastal animals on a very urgent mission.

What could be so important that they would leave their sandcastle behind?
