A cupcake conundrum, a culinary queen on the edge, and a cold-case killer on the loose... Morgan Hart is settling into her job as police captain of Bijoux, the quaint and quirky tourist town nestled on the Lake Michigan shoreline. Murders have been solved, kittens have been rescued, and progress has been made in the renovation of her cozy cottage by the beach. Rumor has it, Queen Sass is secretly searching for a fresh face to host a new TV show and the competitors vying for top spot include Bijoux's own pastry princess, Hannah Bellamy. But when one of the top challengers in the Cupcake Bake-off turns up dead, Morgan has to sift through the evidence and stop the killer before they strike again and threaten to topple Queen Sass from her throne.
