It's also home to Corvette T. Pinecone VII, the patriarch of a family of gray squirrels who have lived on the grounds of Royal Greendale (the Green) for generations. Each year as Spring rolls around, Corvette and his wife, Gertie, know that for this year's litter of babies, they only have a tight window of time in which to impart upon them the wisdom of life on the Green.



In A Talk from the Green, we meet all sorts of creatures-from big to small, part-timers, migrators, dangers and friends, and most interesting-the world of the Whack. Whacks are creatures who are obsessed with the game they call golf, and struggle mightily to master the game they can never ever quite figure out.
