As I was waking up and surviving life, I did not realize that I was in the process of healing. I thought I was doing what was required to pass time to get to the next moment. It was not until I was quiet and all alone that I connected the dots and realized I am not pushing through. I am sitting in these moments, allowing myself to feel actively participating in this journey that God called me to, and I am growing through it. Every test, every win, every lesson was a learning experience, and with every experience there came a decision. A decision I had to make that would either be based on living in the past of the memories that held my mind, heart, and soul hostage, or a decision based on the growth in my journey of healing.
