Vita Aeterna is Dead - Long Live Vita Aeterna!

Since his 'death' forty years ago, Alex Barret has been hiding deep in the Dregs, with only a trio of dogs: Shake, Rattle, and Roll, as his companions. During his absence, the Elite and the Corps have regained control after the short lived Rebel incursion into the First Circle. The Rebel movement has expanded dramatically, but still lacks the strength to overthrow the all-powerful Elite and their Corps minions.

A mysterious message reaches Alex from an unknown source, implying that there may be another 'Outlier' with his incredible response to the Appraisal process - a girl. The message also claims that Vita Aeterna, which had supposedly been crushed by the revolt forty years ago, is still alive.

Emerging from exile and returning to the outside world, he again becomes a target of Vita Aeterna. Once again he finds himself on the run, facing the prospect of centuries as the victim of brutal medical experimentation, as he desperately searches for the answer to the mystery.

Alex's only hope? Find the girl, and destroy Vita Aeterna, the Elite, and the Corps that support them.
