St Fina, a ghost town on the west coast of Canada, isn't the kind of place you move to by accident. The Hopkins move to St Fina to give their recently diagnosed autistic daughter a chance to be happy. The Warrens have come following a tragedy that set the oldest son on a path to addiction, and the Arayas, a mixed race Haida Japanese family, and one of the few residents still living in the little town, face obstacles in finding a place for their children to experience acceptance.
