They could've been as huge as The Beatles - but one night their lead singer and creative force, Gerry Crowther, suddenly disappeared without trace. When a body was found in a nearby river, dressed in Gerry's trademark jacket, the police considered the case closed, and Northern Lights soon split up. Now it's nearly twenty years later. She has written for teenage and women's magazines - fiction and non-fiction - for a number of years, had her own humour column in The Oxford Times, and has contributed to national newspapers.
