This booklet is for people who are living with early to moderate stage dementia symptoms. Although there is an abundance information available publicly and in the marketplace about cognitive and functional changes that can occur with dementia, there is very little information about LIVING life with dementia. Most people live for many years with dementia symptoms. Public media has led people to believe living with dementia is fraught only with terrible experiences. Not so! Baby Boomers and younger generations of people living with dementia are speaking out, explaining that their lives haven't ended. Life can still be filled with a sense of fulfillment, happiness, fun and intrigue as well as challenges, fears and disappointments. This booklet deals with the misperceptions, and realities of living with dementia; as well as suggestions and resources to help.
