One critic wrote: Long Dark Journey is different from other BDSM stories I've read. It is not a book about weak women or abusive men, but rather a couple exploring a lifestyle that both need. I LOVE the dynamic between Travis and Sarah and enjoyed following the story of how they met, overcame obstacles and thrived in a loving D/s relationship. Though I have to admit It did not hurt my enjoyment of the book that the sex scenes were so HOT!!!!
