Something is lurking, deep in the sewers under the suburban town of Radton. People are going missing without a trace, taken by an unknown entity, a creature that stalks them from below before rending their flesh from bone, and carrying them away in its burlap sack. Greg, the son of an abusive alcoholic and a hard worked mother, witnesses something one day that he never should have seen, something that, unbeknownst to him, sets him in the creature's path of carnage. He already knows that some of the worst monsters out there are human. But he soon realizes that no human could ever compare to the monstrosity that comes for him.
