Jack Lancaster, jaded, British, workaholic, has a million frequent flyer points racked up in all the glamorous capitals of the world. He keeps all the plates spinning in an around the world yacht race, but his charmed life, is now fraying at the seams. On the other side of the world, free-spirited, Australian, Suzannah Frazer, spends her days running a fashion boutique, and her nights surfing the internet, dreaming of escaping her humdrum existence. The lives of these two unlikely sidekicks collide, when they start a steamy, online relationship. The Race has been plagued by "accidents" and when news comes through from Panama that one of the skippers, an ex-beauty queen, has disappeared, it is threatened with financial ruin. Jack's father in law and boss, sailing legend, Sir Richard Watson, sets him the task of finding the saboteurs. Complications arise when those online fantasies make their way to the high seas and sex lies and videotapes of long forgotten misdemeanors are revealed. With the help of a pushy television journalist and a US President's nephew, Jack and Suzi attempt to salvage the company and their reputations in this quirky, unconventional, romantic escapade.
