This story is about a young couple, Al and Millie. These two grew up in two different worlds. Al, from a family that did not nurture or prepare him for the life that lay ahead. Millie, on the other hand, grew up in a loving, supportive family. These two lives came together in a small country store. It didn't take long for Al to discover that Millie was different from the other women he had known. Al saw that, on the outside, Millie was somewhat plain; but, over time he saw that Millie was special on the inside. Al would come to the place where he'd want to know what had been the influence in her life that had made her that way.
