Jessica, an ordinary young girl, is kissed by an angel which turns whomever she kisses into her slave. She, and Allen, her boyfriend, whom she refuses to kiss, along with Jackson, their friend in a band enter the underground afterlife to help Birdie, a six-year-old girl find her mother and father. In their adventures through many levels of Hell and Heaven, they interact with trolls, demons, devils, fairies, angels, and toads, as they search to find the way back to the land of the living.
