This is not the classic collection of Sicilian recipes, it is rather a dip into the past with closed eyes to enter, on my memory's tiptoe, into my grandma's kitchen (so much time has passed!). Hers was a traditional home cooking. In this book I will tell about episodes and stories that occurred in grandma's kitchen that she loved to narrate to family and friends. It is a significative part of our family history. These traditional recipes represent three different periods grandma spent in Palermo, Enna and Catania: history and traditions of three different territories wich, however, blended togheter, contributed to enrich grandma Filì's culinary knowledge. Her love for cooking and for Sicily gave her the possibility to create a personal, special, incredibly comprehensive and imaginative cuisine wich J want to share with you!
