Steve develops a knack for stumbling across children in need of protection, more than once getting brushed by errant bullets in the process. He came to the small South American country of Gran Catarata as a missionary to help start a church, expecting to encounter cultural differences, and the need to improve his Spanish, but he never anticipated this. As it becomes a trend, Steve must face difficult decisions regarding the future of his life and his work. He knew such atrocities existed in all corners of the world, with children caught in the crossfire, but now he encounters them head-on with his own two eyes. He was about to leave it in the hand of the police but caught them with their hand in the money trail. As a man of faith, Steve cannot except all these events are mere coincidence, stopping this just became his imperative duty. Not knowing what to do, and uncertain who to trust, is he willing and able to pay his Pound of Flesh for the cause?
