Doctor Thomas Blake, an ex-Navy SEAL medic, is doing his best to deal with civilian life as he works ridiculous hours at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Balancing the busy schedule, as well as Susan, a new love interest, is difficult enough, but when combined with fighting ghosts of his past, Blake's life is becoming too much to bear. At the same time, Commander Raul Cortez has planned a heist. A collection of jewels is on display at the San Diego Museum of Natural History, gems that he believes were stolen from his ancestors. He will stop at nothing to possess them. When the heist goes wrong, sending the madman and his team of mercenaries to a hospital, they take the staff and patients hostage.
