Whether you use a plane or train to travel around Japan, you will be richly rewarded. Look out for Mount Fuji, the bullet trains, and the WW2 shrines to the atomic bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So much to see and do. There is Sumo wrestling at various locations which is typically Japanese as well as theatres with actors in traditional costumes, such as kimonos. Eat fantastic food such as sushi and sashimi with wasabi using traditional chopsticks at many restaurants. Struggle with the langage and its writing, trying desperately to remember kon'nichiwa (hello). The shopping in Tokyo is epic and a great experience. Did you try a typical tea house or see geisha girls? Don't forget to write up your logbook every night while sipping sake. Travel to Japan and have the time of your life!
