Do you want to become younger next year, both physically and mentally, and grow spiritually each year as well? Dr. Ray Ayers, a member of Memorial Drive UMC, has developed a Health and Wellness Ministry (HWM) proposal to work toward accomplishing this goal. Absent a viable HWM, our church congregants tend to be helped by advances in medical technology but at the same time experience a loss in quality of life. Further, as shown below, a healthy lifestyle can prevent or control illnesses. Do you and your church want to live a more healthy and joyous life? Described in this proposal is a seven-part Healthy Living Model that, if followed, can cause you and your church to become effectively younger and more joyful each year! In a key supportive book, Younger Next Year, the authors Chris Crowley and Henry S. Lodge, MD, tell us that 70 percent of what we feel as the effects of aging is optional-the decay of mind and body-and we can change this. Welcome aboard!
