Affair to Dismember Marjorie Dario
Affair to Dismember
Marjorie Dario
Nat King Cole once sang "Our love affair is a wondrous thing . . . a love affair to remember." But a revengeful person may want to dis-member that memory-with a sharp object. Nola Martin has recently moved back to her hometown of Cider Crossing. There she bought an older home which she is remodeling while also working part-time as a reporter for the local newspaper. Things are quietly humming along until body parts start cropping up all over the tiny town. At the same time her mother's friend, Myrtle Maxwell, goes missing. Once again Nola finds herself sifting through several clues that have been dropped into her lap. Are the gruesome discoveries and Myrtle's disappearance related? Or, is that simply a coincidence? Nola soon discovers the old-timers in the community have quite a history, as well as guarded secrets. Where is Myrtle? And who is missing a hand, foot and finger? It doesn't take long for Nola to realize that she definitely has her work "cut out" for her-in more ways than one. But the closer she gets to solving the mystery, the closer she gets to becoming body parts herself.
