After her mother is buried, Natasha's Father remarries. She's no thappy about having a mean-spirited stepmother A tree in the front yard asks for Natasha's Help, as the stepmother wants to remove hm.i The woman has secretly aligned herself with the Company. Going down to an underworld, Natasha must face a bat-winged witch, the Skinless Man, his company of black-robe-dwarves, and finally, my a machine which gives the queen her power. If she doesn't, the world within Rigden, the tree, will be destroyed.
