Peter Parker is a Spitfire Pilot, one of 'The Few', charged with the defence of the nation. However, just as things were going so well with his new love, the beautiful Susan Walker, Peter is shot down over France and another episode in his life begins. He becomes involved in several daring missions, fighting alongside the French Resistance, trying to overcome the local German security forces. He takes part in the violent struggle and lives life on the run, hiding away from capture. They have to plan cunning operations to free colleagues, and kill their enemy, before they are killed themselves. There are mysteries to solve and deceptions to unravel, as a collaborator is suspected in the local French Resistance
