Randall Baker finds his life enriched by new beginnings. His story from small town Nebraska to the rigors of international music success is compromised only by the fact that he hasn't gained any life affirming knowledge through his endeavors. Now, at age thirty-three, Randall finds himself in a California State Penitentiary without much knowledge about how he has become the person he is. The Speed of Life is a semi-nihilistic, part-autobiographical recount of how one man chooses to deal with the opportunities that life has given him. Life gives us all plenty of second chances. However, when the road ahead looks dire, we find ourselves reflecting on the past to give us the knowledge to build for a brighter tomorrow. But what happens when you find that the person you've been isn't the person you want to be?
