A pond is a microcosm of the world, a small segment of a larger whole that has what it takes to breed and sustain life, To some of the creatures that live in it, a pond is the whole world. In fact, to some inhabitants, certain areas within a pond can seem like foreign territory, like distant shores of a world that appears endless. This is how it was for Spike, a tiny caterpillar who made a journey of discovery to the far reaches of his pond.
