It is no use praying if it would not benefit appropriately. Usually, it is gladdening to the human heart when prayers are answered, and needs and desires are met instantly. Since man expects God to answer his prayers, it is appropriate to confirm and conform to His planned purposes and pray promptly. He would not violate His principles, plan and purpose including His timetable to grant man's heart desires and requests. Acts 4 and 12 say that the disciples' appropriate prayer requests were answered promptly. When they asked for boldness and grace to preach and perform miracles God answered instantly. When they prayed for Peter's life to be spared from Herod's sword, He freed him while they were still praying. Their prayers were timely and in agreement with God's will for them.
