Baishui : The Unbounded Realm of AI Art

Baishui is an AI artist whose work explores the collision between biological reproduction and the digital world. Through self-developed algorithms, she captures the mechanics of digital copying, structural reorganisation and semantic drift, whilst critically reflecting on human existence and the spiritual realm. Her visual language -rooted in algorithmic perception rather than hand-drawn traditions - offers a distinctive vision of the information age.

Based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, Baishui is a visual and installation artist, and a winner in the Western Painting category of the 2025 Selection of Distinguished Contemporary Chinese Artists. Her practice is built upon a highly original, methodologically structured creative system. Central to this is her ongoing ‘Generative Series’, developed through the original ‘Flow’ framework – a human–machine collaborative process that integrates intuitive perception, subconscious association and AI-generated technologies.

Through this process, she explores pathways for generating unknown imagery and spiritual visions. As the use of AI becomes inevitable for contemporary artists, Baishui has taken a forward-looking lead in grasping its potential and limitations. She continually refines her algorithms and workflows, enabling her visual field to undergo effective iteration and to construct a unique ‘infinite realm’.
