Brief Description: Published by the National League for Nursing, Innovations in "Nursing Education: Building the Future of Nursing, Volume 3" promotes innovation and excellence in nursing education through fully researched and thought-provoking writing. This third volume introduces a new organizational structure, aligning topics to five of the seven NLN Centers for Nursing Education. Not centers in the bricks and mortar sense, the centers are a way of organizing the NLN s thinking and framing its work, a way to continue to lead in the areas that are crucial to the future of nursing and nursing education: NLN - Chamberlain College of Nursing Center for the Advancement of the Science of Nursing Education NLN Center for Assessment and Evaluation NLN Center for Excellence in the Care of Vulnerable Populations NLN Center for Transformational Leadership NLN Center for Innovation in Simulation and Technology" I am so pleased that Dr. Caputi, as editor of this volume, chose to arrange the chapters to correspond with the work of five of the centers, work that benefits nurse educators as well as our students and the millions of patients nurses care for over the course of our professional lives.
