This is the true story of Bear and Whiskers, two dogs who came to our sanctuary. For 10 years they lived a life like no other, roaming free and living off what they caught in the hundred acres of woods surrounding us. And they ruled the streets of the neighborhood, daring any dog--or human--to intrude upon their territory.

People complained. Some people even thought the dogs should be put to sleep. What these people didn't realize is that we were the ones encroaching on Bear's territory. This was his street and his neighborhood. And he had recruited Whiskers to help him rule it.
