Her work is intricately laced with both courage and hope in the quest for true love. The Shores of Time



The loves we experience

time and time again

how they crash and retreat

with the tide of emotions that run

through us-

bobbing and weaving under the depths,

sometimes leaving marks

and slashes

as the bad ones inevitably roll in.



They'll kiss us with sweet lips,

laced with poison

meant to deceive us

and dilute our minds in false promise.

They lure us in

to capture our hearts

on the tides

of the shores of time.



And this is what they did to me.



The shores of time live deep in all of us.

If you look closely,

it's always there.

Elle Daviau attends college in the Pacific Northwest. She paints and writes poetry when she is not in a lecture or pondering life's answers in the starlit sky. The Shores of Time is her first poetry book.
