Awk was born with very special flippers. They didn't work very well when he swam or just tried to waddle around. His family and his special friend, Flo, enjoyed Awk just as he was. That wasn't the case with many other penguins including the local bully.
This is a story about bullying.
It unfolds as Awk struggles with his differences and his outsider status. His friend, Flo, is always there. His family supports him. Eventually, Awk learns on his own to appreciate his differences and even finds that different can be good and sometimes awesome.
