Back from their long journey to help the giant Iron Lions resolve their conflict with Val ka'Yoom, Jayden Blue and Raylene Hawkins feel the exhaustion from their recent adventures. But another week of school is waiting for them, and Jayden's cats, Hex and Halo, simply must have a new set of games to play every day before school.




At school, Jayden pursues a new direction in his life: auditioning for the class play. Raylene is focused on the art contest and using her new appreciation of colors. To complicate things, they might never again see Jayden's parents, school, their classmates, their teachers, or even the bus driver as they had before their search to find Val ka'Yoom.




In their World So Close, they both must find their courage in a place where fear is waiting in every shadow. It's a dark side of that world that the Iron Lions call . . . The Forest of Night Fallen.
