Author Linda Rae Schaal draws her inspiration for children's stories, poetry, musings and narrative, from real life experience and observation; having published some of her work in local magazines, such as Colorado Life and the KC Electric, periodical, while running a weekly column in surrounding community newspapers. She pens limericks for greeting cards and has published several newsletters. Clea the Clever Caterpillar is the first in the Clea series with three additional books planned for next year.
