Sarah Woodland has always believed that Christ is the reason for the Christmas season, and even established her academic career defending its message. But this year, she decided to stop trying. In the mix of her boyfriend's betrayal and the unending voices of cynicism, she doesn't see how she can carry on. Brent Cottrell, a local piano virtuoso, went through a similar experience after a tragic event on Christmas Eve years earlier. When their paths cross at a benefit dinner, Sarah believes he could hold the key to softening her heart.
