London 1963 and The Cyprus Taverna and Cafe needs a boost. The family's decision to bring the cafe into the swinging sixties with the installation of a jukebox, attracts the wrong kind of customers and disaster forces 10 year old Zeno's father to try to reclaim their Cypriot roots. Zeno is more interested in avoiding the bullies at school and understanding the strange feelings that the new girl in his class stirs up in him. He loves Hancock's Half Hour, The Beatles and steak and kidney pie for school dinner.
