After having written his memoir entitled Having Been There and his book My Travel, this much-travelled European diplomat has decided he needed to write his ultimate memoir which is completely unpolitical and strictly focuses on aesthetic categories such as landscapes and parks, antiquity and non-European cultures, museums and exhibitions, Western architecture, mosaics, frescoes and paintings, sculpture, ceramics and applied arts and music and tie all this to his private library and his vast collection of photo-albums, thus creating his own cultural history which expresses his own favorites.
