From a partisan unit and the city of Tashkent back to Poland; from joining the HaShomer HaTzair aliyah movement, through Haganah training on German soil in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp to arrival in the Land of Israel. In Kibbutz Ramat HaShofet, he serves in the fifth brigade of the Palmah in the War of Independence, surviving grievous injury and enjoying the love of exceptional women.
