This work represents the struggle to integrate dreams into conscious existence and to understand the interrelation between their Unconscious dynamic and waking life. This book is the result of that struggle. Dreams, when closely regarded, are marvelous inventions filled with the most sophisticated imagery, unfolding stories of exquisite detail, some of which relate to the actual conscious life in the world, others to otherworldly realms and some only to themselves. In the ancient texts this dimension of life was said to be ruled by the Moon which came to symbolize the entire inner dimension of consciousness embracing not only dreams but also instinct, fantasy, visions and artistic inspiration. Embracing dreams as a real and living manifestation of the inner dimension of the personality provides a rich harvest of wonder and self insight. Often they serve as warnings, cautioning against dangers in the environment or from human individuals whose true motives are masked by friendly smiles, but whose true intentions are not in the best interests of the dreamer. Every effort has been made to find correspondences between the dreams and actual life but many dreams (and the stories they tell) must often stand on their own as they reflect the manifestation of the Great Mystery itself.
