The Foxgrove Mystery Series are the adventures of Morgan Burch who is a "retired" at 40 highly decorated FBI agent and forensics expert attempting to start a new life, after the tragic deaths of both her husband and father who were killed in a highly publicized plane crash. Three years after the incident Morgan is just now beginning to join society once again but in a small, Northern Virginia town working at an upscale, private Girls' School far from the madding crowd and her old life. Burch-Hill, Virginia is a quaint, historic village in the middle of Horse-Country which is slowly falling on tough economic times. Morgan comes from "old money" but is living a quiet, private, low-key existence. She often helps out those in need anonymously, not wanting the town to fail. Morgan's great-grandfather founded the village of Burch-Hill and she spent many summers and family holidays in this close community and peaceful environment, so her return is like coming home. Buried in Boxwood introduces Morgan Burch and her new life at the hundred year old Foxgrove School for Girls. At the start of a new school year during preparations at Welbourne Horse Farm for the School's entry for the Burch-Hill Spring Garden Tour a body is uncovered in the fields of this historic Civil War plantation. With the assistance of Morgan's Investigative Journalism students she is able to eventually solve the mystery, find the killer, and escape death herself, with the help of her childhood chum, Mary Anne Lipuma, and her over-zealous students.
