Darkness has descended on Battle Creek, Michigan.

People are desperate in Battle Creek. Suicides are skyrocketing. Violent crime is out of control. Even the local magi chapter is a mess. They no longer seek God and no longer protect their community.

When the leader of the Battle Creek magi reaches out to the magi in Washington DC for help, Jeremiah and Naomi are sent to try to figure out what's going on. Even as a magi chapter crumbles around them, the pair undertake a risky undercover mission in the den of the evil obeah.

But will the darkness claim Naomi and Jeremiah?
Will they find the cause of the darkness and redeem the city?
Or is it already too late?
