The Apostolic Christian Church is divided. In a time of mass apostasy, Saint Luke's Gospel contains a prescription for healing deep and ancient wounds. For example: And the Apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be plucked up by the root, and be planted in the sea; and it should obey you. The sycamine tree is like un-forgiveness with very deep roots. The sycamine's wood was used to build burial caskets. However, the person buried in un-forgiveness is oneself. Its fruit, a fig, is bitter to eat and is literally pollinated by wasps that sting the fruit! Again, it is much easier to heal a breach and apply forgiveness when the offender seeks to make a remedy for the offense so that the faith required is small to cast the sycamine into the sea. All eat humble pie and history teaches, as well as Jesus, those who lead wisely, lead in humility. One should not be found unmerciful to lambs. The mustard seed is very small. The faith of the mustard seed is one of prayer and blessings of enemies. When we bless and do not curse, eventually deep-rooted hate in the heart disappears and the freshness of love and humility enter in its place. The wrong and pain are cast into a sea of tears and with those tears we sow we reap sheaves of joy. There is nothing more joyful than seeing an enemy saved, converted, and made whole, especially when we can ask them to pray for us.
