Luckily for Noah Shepherd, he never had to write a "What I Did Last Summer" paper when he entered fifth grade. No one would have believed him. Except, that is, for friends Ray Rico and Mia Davis, caught up with him in uncovering a scheme concerning an abandoned toxic site on the river. Noah's parents knew there was something wrong when he and his friends broke so many rules involving the family motorboat. Noah wanted to explain, but he first needed to prove that an overheard conversation among "respectable" adults revealed a crime was about to take place. And it didn't help that his main push to dig deeper came from a legendary boating writer and his buddies that most people might call ghosts.
