This is the story of Eggington Chickadees. He's a chicken in his senior year at Farmvilla High School. Eggington, like many others at the school, is being bullied. He has been tortured by the same bullies for years. Eggington doesn't know a way to stop the bullying or can he see a way around it. Lionel Manes, a lion, is a new student at Farmvilla, and he's also a senior. He has his own issues that he is facing. Lionel sees the bullying, but he doesn't know how he can intervene or help. He tries to stay out of it as much as he can. How will Eggington overcome the bullying? How will Lionel get passed his problems? What does the both of them have to do with one another? To learn all of this and so much more, read: The Bullies: The Origin of Bullying. This book deals with one of our biggest social issues facing our kids at school, which is bullying. This is a fictional chapter book about bullying. The purpose of this book is to start a conversation about bullying or continue the conversation along with ways to stop it. This book addresses both the right and wrong ways to handle bullying. This book also teaches life lessons to live by and gives sound advice to get through various situations. It promotes graduating from high school and college as well. It also shows what true friendship is, and what it means to be a good friend. The target audience for this book is the later grades of elementary (3rd-5th) and the early grades of middle school (6th-7th), but higher levels are more than welcome to read and enjoy the overall message of the book too.
