Alese is beginning her second year of Intergarae, a school for scholars and warriors. Although, she secretly would love to gain some recognition with her fighting skills, she knows that her true calling is to mend wounds as a Heilre. Her clear path comes into questions when she meets the unusual and intriguing first year, Giselle. This new girl is careful with her words, struggles to mend wounds, and is a skilled Marilit. In other words, Giselle is a stark contrast to Alese. Mayhap, these differences are what draw them into an unlikely friendship of warrior and scholar.
