In Medieval Okinawa, during the golden age of the Ryukyu Kingdom, the legendary Lord Gosamaru is accused of revolt. Believing this deception, King Sho Taikyu sends his soldiers to arrest the powerful lord at his impregnable Nakagusuku Castle. The ambitious young Lord Amawari who has accused his rival of treason leads the royal army to attack the castle. In a last act of loyalty, Lord Gosamaru refuses to fight back and commits seppuku. When his head is presented to the king a note falls out, proving his innocence. This is the story of one of Okinawa's most famous tales of a deadly struggle for power between two lords and a king.
