A realty investor narrowly escapes an attempt on her life when it backfires on an escaped convict. A second convict takes refuge with a make-over artist. She creates the opportunity for the make-over artist to open a salon, not realizing it was previously owned by the convict. Deputies turn up the heat in the search for the convict. The convict searches the land for personal items left upon conviction. With good news for the make-over artist about the mineral rights, she goes to the salon and finds the convict, who takes a hostage to escape. With knowledge of an old trick, she finds what the convict was searching for.
